Thread: new buell owner wanting to know what the look over on bike during winter

    Are you referring to the rusted out exhaust or the cable. From the looks of the plate under the exhaust its aftermarket which means the cable use to attach to the stock 12 muffler interactive exhaust valve. There may be a servo still on top of the air box.

    whats a servo? is the airbox under the tank cover?

    I believe the servo is a open and closing valve on the factory muffler. I'm sure someone else will chime in with the correct info. Your air box is under you air box cover. Your frame is your tank. But if you referring to what normally looks like a gas tank on most motorcycles then yes that's where your air box is.

    The valve is in the factory muffler. The servo is under the air box cover on top of the air cleaner cover with a cable that runs down to the muffler. The servo may already be gone.

    I usually look over the handle bars all year. Think it might be hard to ride it in any other position lol.
