So I was with dave_xb12r up in the foothills scouting the location for the big get-together tomorrow, filled with gasohol, and noticed my tyre looked weird.
So, being 4pm on a saturday afternoon, an hour outside of the nearest major city, what to do? Here is the breakdown. Found a shop that would pick me and my bike up, and closed at 7pm. They charged me $100 for the lift ($2/mile from the pickup back to the shop), $30 for the mount / bal, and ~$200 for the new rear tyre.
