    03 xb9r fork rebuild...parts and oil?

Forks are leaking. I've searched and haven't found any recent threads on where to get the parts. Last thread I found had descriptions of parts but no part numbers. Poster said all parts where from American sport bike. They are closing their doors and unless I am missing something I am having trouble finding the parts on their website.

Where is another good place for parts. Also what other seals from other bikes will fit our forks? Do all 41mm inverted showa forks have interchangeable seals?

Searching Youtube for vids. Also what is a good fork oil?

Yes, American sport bike. I can get you all the part numbers when I get to work, but all that will tell you is American sport bike is the cheapest place to get them.

THESE ARE FOR ALL 03-04, and XB12SCG/XB9SL 03-10

Keep in mind, Harley sells these individually, ASB sells them in pairs.

Great info. I have an 08 XB12 scg I need to do soon. So the parts you listed are for the XB12 Scg 41mm fork tubes as well?
    Thanks for the video.

When I go to rebuild the forks on my latest bike, I'll do another video showing using proper tools and how to measure oil height better. That video was just to show the basics, and it can be done with some home made tools.

oil height was a big thing missing from your video. i have it saved along with another for when i do it.

Couple methods for height, make a dipstick, use anything, a zip tie works. Mark the height needed, and fill it until it's at that point. Or use a large syringe with a hose on it. Fill the fork too high, then lower the hose in to the height needed, and suck out the extra.

Service manual tells you it's different for different years and models.
