    Dashboard Clock Malfunction

My XB12SsLong suffers from a time problem on the dash. I have set the clock right, and I found out that after I have driven the bike, and I have shut it off, the clock falls behind. Every ride I need to reset the clock, which is starting to become a pain. It is a second hand bike and unfortunately I can't go back to the previous owner to ask him. Probably a wiring problem?? Have any of you experienced the same? The bike has been given a race kit from Buell + dynojet tune up + race ECM also it has new Rizoma LED lighting. Any idea what might cause the clock to fall behind? Thx!

    A failing battery.
Check your battery terminals. If they are loose this could be causing your issue. The only times I've had clock issues was once
when my terminals were lose and another time when my battery was dying.
    Have your battery tested

when i first picked my 04 'bolt up, the first couple runs the clock reset on shutdown.
Now I've run it a little more regular and the battery is getting its charge the clock problem has gone away

ignition on=clock displaying correct time as previously set
crank to start=cllock reverts back to factory default time and stays there
    ^^^^^^ what chickn said.
