Damn I had the same idea after demo riding the CR.
That looks really good, no one will even know what bike it is now.
Is the throw of the light that good mounted on a lightning compared to how it mounts on the CR?
Awesome, now if you could take some full shots of the bike from the side and front the dash that will be great! good job, that headlight looks really awesome on the lightning. It will definitely be on my list of mods for later!

I was a little worried about the lights angle but the light shoots straight out. Honestly, I wanted this headlight so bad, I didn't care if it pointed at the tire. I love the look.
Now you have to make a kit and sell it. You could make some cash moneys for sure!
Man, that looks great.
I thought about a kit but, when I buy a kit and it has a couple of pieces aluminum that anyone could get at lowes or something, it ticks me off. I mean if I could machine a nicer set up, that would be something else. If anyone really wants to do this I can talk anyone through the issues they might face.
Really, the biggest issue was drilling the nipple holes in the triple tree. I didn't try to remove it so the drill was at an odd angle.
I just bought the CR headlight, harness, and bracket assembly to put on my XB9SX.
I'll be making some nice brackets and drilling and tapping the triples to mount it. I also may machine some mounts for the cluster.
Curious to how bad your lighting is at night with the lights angled down like that?????
Actually, the CR headlight doesn't point down, it appears to, but actually the bulbs point straight forward and so do the reflectors. The lens angles down, the sides of the lens angles up and the fly screen covers them slightly in the center to give it a downward angled look. The light actually reflects straight out like a standard light.
This shows pretty good:
