    buell blast 07 wont shift

    Hi everyone I currently just bought an 07 buell blast from old family friend ,it runs but won't shift into any gears and I don't have a repair manual for this bike would this mean I need a new clutch or detent plate ,secondly I'd like to convert the belt to a chain And add a biy fatter back tire , How can I do this ?

    No I'm being serious how are people converting the rear to a chain drive ?

    Get a manual from http://BuellMods.com and adjust your shifter pawl, primary chain tension and change the oil.

    Don't do a chain swap, you gain nothing in power but lose reliability and increase maintenance required.

    How does changing the belt to a chain make the bike less reliable ?

    A chain and sprockets wear, belt and pulleys do not. Chain requires maintenance, belt does not.
