    My experiences with the Uly

I guess I'm starting this so I can keep track of all the shenanigans I get into with this bike.

The reason I got my Uly. I got hit head on by an old lady who REALLY needed to get into Lewis to get her meds. RIP to this old girl:

This is how the bike was when I got her, minus the crash bars. IMHO, the crash bars vibrated too much and it was annoying:

Made the switch to 2010 Yellow

I decided to make a Lexan headlight cover since I already had some dings on my headlight. Cost about $9 total for dual lock and the lexan sheet from Menards. Not the cleanest but still better than paying $60+ for a Touratech one. Ill sand the edges a little more to clean it up later but I'm happy with how it turned out.

Is that a Wolfman bag on the back of your Uly? If so, how do you like it?

Its not a wolfman bag. Its just a 30L Seal line bag that I got from Scheels. Its an OK bag if you dont mind loading from one side. Its also very thick material so it feels very durable. Id prefer a top or side loading bag but this one works and was only like $25.

Lots of new things to add. First, got some fog lights mounted up:

HMM a little bigger than expected. No problem

Also mounted the TKC80 up front and the K60 in the rear...

I also needed handguards but I liked the factory look. So i used the moose racing guards and had to trim a little plastic on the factory handguards but I got them to fit under them!

And lastly I needed better off road pegs. So for a whopping $175 (OUCH!!) I got the lowered preeng pegs. They are nice, just not $175 nice I dont think.

Well I pushed the Uly to its limit. Found some mud on a recent trip across the state. Packed the rear wheel and it coulnt move so I burned the clutch up. Also blew my fork seals. What an expensive weekend.

Mud would be tough on any bike, really not much for the tires to grab onto, but I give you credit for trying !
