    You don't. You need to connect to the computer somehow. Either a cable and ECMSpy or a Bluetooth Dongle/ECMDroid and a Android device.

    IMO the Bluetooth/ECMDroid is the way to go. Way easier to datalog an intermittent issue like you have without having a laptop strapped to your back all the time and a cable running to the engine.

    go to the ECMSpy website, it tells you how. But download the demo, it will connect to the bike to read the firmware, but not allow anything else until it is registered to a specific firmware.

    Yes, I have used it many times on my 08 with a BUEOD firmware
