XB9S Carbon fiber air box cover fitment

Hey guys, just picked up my first Buell. 03 XB9S, it currently has a carbon fiber air box cover I believe from MDI. Does anyone know if the stock top half of the air box will fit under the cf cover? I didn't get the original with the bike and don't want to source one of it wont work. Thanks Guys

What's your current airbox look like?
You have something retaining the air filter?

If you still have the stock inner airbox and the cf cover is listed for a Buell Xb like you say then it will fit ok, i dont know of any differences between any model years but please someone tell me if i am wrong? so any Buell cover will fit any Buell stock airbox on any year Xb! The cf makes no difference but i understand the quality of manufacture and fit can vary a bit so someone will chime in about MDI for you!

I was just on the MDI website. Looks like those covers fit all XB models.
If you don't like it, or don't feel confident in the fit, I'll trade you my yellow cover.

If its from MDI it'll fit. I've had that cover on my 04 with an 03 airbox under it. The MDI will fit all XB years and models

Currently there is a plexiglass retainer holding down the K&N filter. I will see if I can get pics up soon.
