You might want to do a tps reset and afv reset it might help you out. It would run better if you do a race tune.
My '08 xb12r had it's stock exhaust valve opened and actuator cable disconnected. Seller said he never had the ECU tuned.
It bucks a little up to 3-4k then really smooths above that. Engine basically sounds great.
Should I get the ECU tuned, go with a Power Commander, or leave it alone?

Why did he open exhaust valve if he did not tune. Bike will run lean?
Don't know. Not too smart. Have a local guy who is going to reinstall the exhaust cable and make stock adjustments. I really want the bike to be stock. Old cable is a bit sketchy so he just ordered another one for 30 bucks... anticipates a 1 hour project. I think this is the route I will go.
It's not that big a deal, but yes the "race" program for a stock pipe is a great thing to do. Check out Buelltooth.com for a free tune or AZ Midget on here can do it for you also
Or just hook up the solonoid again. The Buell "race" program is way better than the stock one.
After you do that I would reset the tps and afv to100 and then go for a ride and keep it between 40 and 60 with no hard excel for like 50 miles or so and should be good.
You will need ecmspy or ecmdroid to do.Forum member azmidget has droid stuff that he sells.
cooter beat me to it again. Lol!
Don't beat your Cooter!
Haha. I really think he'll like the Buell "race" program with a stock pipe
