1999 Buell Lightning: Parting Most of it Out
Though I've been following this site for a while, this is my first post, so please bear with me. After enjoying my '99 X1 for a while, I decided to completely change it up and turn it into a custom chopper. I will be keeping the frame, the Motor, the front suspension, and the wheels, but pretty much everything else can go.
I'll list as much as I can, but if there is something I miss that you may be interested in, please feel free to ask. Everything listed it Negotiable....
$75 Tank cover
$35 Under Belly Cover
$20 Sprocket cover
$75 Gas Tank complete with pump: SOLD
$250 SuperTrapp exhaust (complete) (about 4500miles on it): SOLD[/B]
$75 Headlight assembly: SOLD
$100 Complete fuel injection system: SOLD
$90 Key lock assembly w/ Gas cap: SOLD
$100 Complete wiring harness w/ FLASHED computer and sensors: SOLD
$100 Custom Corbin seat with passenger brackrest
$120 Shock Assembly
Everything is in great shape. The bike has 11,500 miles on it and was always garage kept. Thanks for looking

I know you guys think it's sac-religious, but it's what I've been wanting to do for some time now. Thanks for the support....
Now if the rest of her can be used as an organ donor, to help fund the transformation, and help another member out. Then it's a win/win in my book.

It's not on the list, but are you planning on letting the shifter assembly go? From what you described I assume you're planning on switching to some forward controls. Looking for the lever, mounting block, bolts, connecting rod and the small clamp on the shifter shaft, or any combination of those parts.
