    Cluster is screwed together, be sure to use an EDS soldering iron on any circuit board.

    dave: if i can make a suggestion see the below. i have a few new ones left here i'm sure. it comes with plug end that you snip off....2 way adhesive pad...and fits beautifully atop the left side handlebar switchgear which has a small flat pad on same. i've probably installed 20 of these on assorted buells and they are fine. just wire into your headlight harness. orange positive switched....black ground. not as sexy as the cluster mounted style but very easy and works quite well plus they're highly water resistant and cheap.
