Don't forget that with the same input voltage, a longer spark is a weaker spark.
I doubt a Buell cares about a .005" difference, but I've helped weak coil issues by gapping the plugs narrow.

I think i can put this tired thread to bed now... when i had the bike apart to do intake seals i decided to finally install the ol' coil to battery ground wire mod. Seems to be solved? The only other operation that may have changed anything was the new O2 sensor i installed. So, either the warm up blips and stumbles were VERY early signs of a slowly failing oxygen sensor or that ground wire is quite the deal!

The ground wire that Lunatic always suggests works so well I make them 5 at a time for stock and install them on every stinking' Buell I ever get my grubby little mitts on whether theres an issue or not.

Could I get more information on this ground wire mod? Is there a link to instructions?

I would think from the above link info, one would be better off grounding one side of the ECM mount bolts, that's what I did.
