Thread: Hands going numb.

  1. #1

    Hands going numb.

XB12R. Had this bike for about a month and almost all city riding. On Sunday I did the Rattle the Runway ride for 9/11 and it was the most highway miles I've done so far. It was about 40 miles out to Dulles and 40 back to the Pentagon. I don't know how I made it. My hands were killing me! I've done some research on solutions... H-D gloves with gel in the palms,Barsnake, lead pellets in the bar. Like to hear if anyone here has any ideas that work.

Loosen grip and hold your body up with your core and legs.

Bare with me. Newbie to Buell. Made a post not long ago about a squealing noise when accelerating hard. I also feel like something is loose every time I hit a bump. Could all these be related?

I have these on my XB9SX and they make a world of difference. I would highly recommend them as they make the bar vibrations smooth as butter on the freeway. Lower rpms you'll feel a shake but once you get moving, works like a charm.

I use bar end mirrors and they absorb a lot of the vibes.
