    Ulysses 2006 XB12X verses 2009 XB12XT

I am thinking of trading up from my 2006/2007 Ulysses with 40 000km to a XB12XT with 19000km. Is the change/upgrade worthwhile? and any issues with the 2009 re servicing compared with the earlier model both have the race ECM.

Assuming you're not doing a lot of hard core offroading? (not that i really think a uly is best suited for it anyway) I'm not a real big guy (5'7" 175) and i ride an X, i lowered the bike a bit and it made a huge difference for me in confidence and control in everyday in town riding, so that would be an improvement going to the XT which is ~1inch lower, but you do lose some ground clearance over the X. The newer bike should have the upgraded fan programming on it as well, so there is another mark for comfort (hopefully it has the comfort kit too). Oh and i believe they came standard with heated grips. Other than those things they're basically the same animal.

If you are looking to make a change that will really make it worthwhile get the 2009 XB12X for the better forks 43 to 47 mm and turning radius. the XT has the same turning radius as the 06 X.

    47mm forks? Wow, I thought all '03-'10 had 43mm.

You two are on here a lot and seem to know a lot about Buell's. I'm new to Buell, but I jumped right in. I now have a 2006 XB12X that I like to use on street and a 2009 XB12X for off road and street.
