So is that something you found by "running" ecmspy, or did you just do an inspection or both.. like what did ecmspy tell you, that it was grounding out somewhere and you had to figure out where? or did it tell you anything..

I've already got my bike at a shop, that's what impatience gets you.. i should have gotten ecmspy and diagnosed on my own, spent the time not the money..

And also, does that mean i could have gotten a race ecm for $200 and had it remapped as a factory and saved the $162.. more or less?

why is that $362 and the "other ecm's" I see online $210?
    Years(rarity)

    is it because it's a 2003
    Yes(mostly)

    are there 2 different ecm's?
No, there are 3. Stock ECM, Factory Race ECM, Custom/Remapped ECM

could I have replaced this with the race one for cheaper?
Yes if you would have found one

does that mean i could have gotten a race ecm for $200 and had it remapped as a factory and saved the $162.
    Yes

The trouble code came up (That was the tps grounding out) when the program was on, It also does diagnostics so it will find any trouble codes. So I went on a wire to metal hunt and found it on the bottom of the main bunch of wires heading to the ecm. It was rubbing on the left leg passenger peg mounting location.

Only1.. But looking at pictures of the different ECM's, it looks like my bracket wouldnt fit the race ones.. some kind of mod maybe?

wanted.. when you have a trouble code, does it ALWAYS appear on your dash.. cause i had no check engine light or anything, it just wouldnt run right.

    Thanks,

    Stock ECM

    Race ECM

The only COSMETIC difference is the writing, "FOR RACE USE ONLY"

If you have something different on your bike than yes, it would be some kind of mod. In which I would be unfamiliar with.

when you have a trouble code, does it ALWAYS appear on your dash.
    No, not necessarily

what a dumbass. so for LESS money, i could have had the race ecm and ecm spy to tune to the bike appropriately and theoretically had a better running bike? PISSED. lesson learned i guess.

so that being that, IS the race ecm "better", like will my bike be "faster"?

I guess it doesnt matter anyway, because i can turn my factory in to a race right?
