    Uly upgrades

Hi guys, been fairly quiet. For the most part because of work, but also since Uly has been riding like clockwork.

I was fortunate to attend an off-road training course, which my wife got for my birthday.

The guys from Country Trax train the BMW riders as well as the BMW trainers. Learned a whack load, pushed some boundaries and survived!

Uly took a few knocks - tipping over on grass area where we were practicing throttle and clutch control along with body positioning.

Right indicator lenses broke, along with clutch lever and punched through wind guards.

So I am thinking of doing some much needed upgrades.

Ordered some two finger folding levers. Looking at shorter LED indicators.

Also looking at proper reinforced hand guards and better handlebars. Any suggestions for these last two?

Uly performed flawless. Oh yes, also swapped out my XT suspension for that off a X model.
What a huge difference it makes!

Loads of looks and questions on the day. 😁

    Thanx guys!

Moose Racing or Enduro Engineering are the toughest, little less room BUT they don't bend. Fastway, Cycra or the all plastic ones Acerbis will bend pretty easy, especially with a 400 lb bike. To get good bars you have to get new bar clamps to raise and except 1 1/8 bars. What year Uly are you riding.

Mine is an 08XT on which I have swapped out my suspension for that of an X.

Rest, apart from exhaust, still pretty much stock.

    Thanx guys!

Heidenau Scout rear and Pirelli MT60R up front.

Managed to track down a set of bark busters in South Africa - which is a miracle in itself!

Fitted front LED blinkers. Couldn't get LED relay to work. Upon studying the wiring diagram, I realised the positive and negative terminals are swapped around on Buell. Sorted now.

    Bark Busters arriving tomorrow.

Replaced my busted header with one from a Firebolt. It actually fitted!

And using a borrowed Buell race exhaust in the meantime till I get my one fixed.

Barkbusters are fitted. Will snap some pics tomorrow.
