I have thought about it previously, how are your reflective parts? Mine are starting to brown, reason for the question. Would it be worth upgrading the bulbs and having "sub par" housings?
I just installed a set on my 12scg WOW!! We are talking bright in the day time, I just want to be seen to be safer in the day time.

Did everything fit in the housing boot?
If you use these in both reflectors, you will blind other drivers. They are indeed super bright, but the left reflector aims the light beam way up. It would work perfectly work if have them working separately (right on while driving, left only on with high beam). If you want both to be on at the same time, you could install projectors to aim the lightbeam in the correct manner. Do you have pics?
By all means go brighter, don't worry so much about blinding other drivers, they aren't looking anyway, I'll be installing laser beams on my bright yellow helmet and strobes on the bikes as soon as I am all better.
John, I really like that idea and you know they are making them lighter and lighter !
Nothing like a Barrett for those cars that like to ride your ass.
Ahem. Please allow my differing opinion
