Ha! I don't even have time to ride one of my motorcycles, let alone 2.
Whats funny is my neighbors think my Harley is the fast bike. LOL!

Thats what you get for living next door to Chicago.

Further analysis, due to a fairly large puddle after sitting overnight from a long ride is showing leakage coming from the crimped area and I noticed some white "silicon-looking stuff" around where it threads into the primary case. Uh oh!
Luckily, I have the helicoil kit I used on the old M2 and want to powdercoat the primary cover black anyhow!

34nineteen, how long have you and this leak from there? Mine is leaking a bit from the crimped section. Mine is a small amount on the cable itself ever 2 days or so. (I still ride daily) and I wipe it off and put a few squirts into the primary to top off. I have never had it leak "so bad" to have even a drop. Asking because I am wondering if yours has been leaking for some time and got worse?

Mine gives me a drip or two somedays and somedays it's 10. Crimping the chrome cable end a bit tighter with vise grips along the flat may have slowed things down a bit, though. I hate leaks and hunt them with a passion. I'm going to pull the primary soon and send it in for powdercoat along with a few others parts. I'll inspect the cable threads at that time and install a helicoil if they're compromised. Probably throw a clutch cable at it for good measure. My HD dealer has one in stock !

easy on having 2 bikes. i have 3. i would defiantly replace the cable. if your old cable isn't bad, then you have a spare. doesn't hurt when you accidentally put moron strength to it and break it and have to go get one.

34, how much does HD want for one if you don't mind me asking? I have found one online from a part site and they wanted about $30, I haven't checked my local HD yet.

I believe it was $55. Is the one you found a HD part or an aftermarket one?

OK Thank you. It was aftermarket.
