ABS plastic 3D printers are pretty popular hobby machines and you might have a friend who has it, just make sure it is big enough to print the tail piece. ABS filament is cheap material, so if you can do CAD model the tail will cost you a few dollars. Another pros of this is you can make all necessary features on the tail to attach LED strip and change tail design how you want and print it as one piece of plastic.

Will have a nice aftermarket rear end piece shortly as I've decided to return the bike to as much stock config as possible. Have a plate thing as well. Dont recall where I got the rear piece..overseas maybe...or the price. PM if interested.

just follow these steps, I just finished mine up (reciprocating saw & dremel). Have about 2 hours into it.
I'd just sent it out to HAWK to do if I did it again.
