^^^^^^^ I've made my decision. I'm calling your daughter, you need to be on meds and in a "Home" LMFAO
highly recommend Shinko SuperSport SLG(stick like glue) radials for both track and street. those along with HellFire 1-percenter exhaust system is truly an unbeatable combination. my record setting track times at Americas' fastest tracks including Talladega SuperSpeedway corroborate same.
love always,

^^^^^^^ I've made my decision. I'm calling your daughter, you need to be on meds and in a "Home" LMFAO
He's already on meds and he does live in a home, it's hopeless !
The Chebby had lug nuts under the center caps. Just not tight ones... the studs started snapping off I decided to get a tow instead of try to get home on 3 studs. That made me check it out further, more rookie stuff like wheel bearings. Stock rollers, not tapered and torqued to at least 150lb/ft so I've been busy playing with the '57 making it a daily driver. I sold the S-5 because I need a 60+ year old car as my only vehicle with a roof? Never been happier about a dumb decision
But in the meantime I'm still waiting for an answer from LAP about the weird headlight smoke stuff because the brand new headlight is doing the same thing in one ride
I did get to meet a hero though!
Makes me want to buy a Kilo of coke and party with Crockett and Tubbs...
And replace the first chain slider (6300 miles)

I waited just a little too long and the swingarm got a little shiny part

But not structural, so I'm not gonna worry about it. I will say the 43T Steel sprocket does have a slight off-set that I had put to the outside (50/50 guess right?). I turned it around and that helps a little. The new slider has a little rub on the outside again after the first ride so perhaps a sprocket with another 10 thou inside off-set would center it better? Not really worried, its a cheap part ($38 shipped) and took about 10 mins to swap. 3 allens for the rear-set and tensioner, I pulled the rear wheel too, but don't think you have to even do that.
A big "Thank You" to our esteemed SilverRider for getting the Oberon clutch slave cylinder and letting us know what a big difference it made.
I had seen it but thought 'No WAY! $140 for a slave?' and 'It couldn't make that big a difference'. Cliff notes? It did.
Did several pulls with a luggage scale. I tested it for accuracy with dumbbells at 20-30-40 lbs.
Pulled right at the relief on the stock levers (40.8lbs!!)

Pull the snap ring out, push out the center with your thumbs and you end up with this on the bench:

Wiggle it carefully in place and it drops 80% of the way in without issue. The last 20% is critical and HARD.
I found that a 1" deep-well socket over the hex:

Now, thats perfect. The top lip (that the stock one does not have) is barely past the clutch cover hole.

Easily re0install and...Vacuum bleeding.
Carefully wrap the bleeder with teflon tape so you aren't sucking air past the threads.

Do NOT cover the little hole or seating face:

Teflon paste works OK if you are unsure, but just don't cover the hole and you're fine.
