New here, picked up my first Buell last night!! 2004 XB12S

Dang it I feel like a kid at Christmas... these bikes are stupid fun. So glad I finally pulled the trigger and picked one up.

It needs a good cleaning, and has a little cough off idle but man the torque is just there.
I didn't want to stop riding it but I had to go back and pay the guy hahaha . I pulled the plugs
when I got home last night and they are pretty shot. I plan on doing a good tune up/service/cleaning.

I've read that HD 10R12A plugs are the only way to go... but then others say they swear by NGK's haha...
I guess I will do what I think is best and see how it changes.

I swear by the NGK's. Don't forget to check the gap.

Just picked up a set of NGK - DCPR9E plugs, they didn't have the iridium's in stock....so I ordered a set of the iridium's (DCPR9EIX)

Should these DCPR9E be okay to stick in there until the other arrive?

I went ahead and stuck the DCPR9E plugs in gapped them 0.035" , the old HD plugs were soot covered and rounded and worn to about 0.040". Cranks and idles and runs better. Little cough off idle if I blip the throttle, but other than that running good
