full service for my CR????? Need suggestions
She's due for an oil change, brakes and a nee rear tire.
This is the first and only water cooled bike i have ever owned,
Local shop wants $500 for a full servicing..i would rather
Do it myself but am looking for advice if i should also do
Anything with the trans and coolant system or any
Other areas that should be addressed. Thanks in advance

This are lot of knowledgeable board member's here, to best give you advice please give them a little more info.
For starters, engine & trans are the same oil. Does that price include valves adj ? I am sure it does not other wise I jump on that service.
Has it ever been serviced ?
How many miles are on it ?
How long have you owned?
This will be very helpful if you do it yourself http://buellmods.com/#TabbedContent

Full service to me would include valve adjustment, plugs, oil, filter, etc. If you're not mechanically inclined, $500 is a steal. It's an EASY 6+ hours to do the valves alone, parts and anything extra is just icing on the cake.

Full service= valve adjustment, brakes, cooling system, oil and filter, and if you're real lucky... forks.
How much are they charging you for a tire? That's probably the bulk of what THEY consider a full service.

No, im guessing valve adjustment isn't included.
I've only had the bike for a year. Runs great, never skipped a
Beat...but has 15k on it now and i would like to keep it running well

The most important thing, and the only thing you may feel is out of your wheel house, is a valve adjustment. I believe the 1125 engines are due every 12k.
Not 100% on that.
Go to www.buellmods.com and I'm pretty sure you can find a service manual.
Best of luck with that service.

Do it yourself! Theres no way $500 includes valve adjustment. Shops will do oil, coolant, brakes, etc, but thats about it. If you need a manual PM me your address and i'll send over the USB that was given to me. Tons of great info in there and that will have everything you need.

Service intervals are in the owners manual and a little easier to find in there. My owners manual is at the house and if someone doesn't beat me to it I'll post it.
