The Pitbull is back in the game!

The Pitbull is back in the game! I got the new voltage regulator today, and already had the new battery. I got a friend to make a heat shield from 1/4" aluminum, and then used some 3/8" spacers between the new regulator and the heat shield. This may help the longevity - heat kills everything and the Pitbull cooks stuff (especially my right thigh!). Looks good, and my charging voltage is back where it should be. I may take this bike on the ride Sunday to Galena, etc. I'll change the oil tomorrow.20170811_141023.jpg20170811_145525.jpg20170811_161324.jpg20170811_155723.jpg20170811_163156.jpg

It works OK, as usual, so I just changed oil, readjusted chain and clutch and that is it. I did not dig into it. I'm gonna follow the rule if it ain't broke, don't fix it.

for original poster of this thread: you might want to consider replacing your POS curly-Q stock clutch cable support bracket before it breaks.....which it will.
    updated TSB part is N0012.1AAA

Thanks much....just ordered one. This is the first time I've heard of that part being an issue.
