O2 sensor wiring harness
Hello again. While tinkering around the bike I have noticed a badly chaffed o2 wire, after where it plugs into from the actual sensor plug. If that makes sense? Basically buying a new sensor won't help because that side is good, it's the wires after the plug that are damaged. Looks like this wire gets wrapped into a larger bundle of wires that i assume goes to the ECM?
How do I go about fixing this?

Are you good with a soldering iron and shrink tubing and electrical tape and wire ? replace the old wires. If you can take apart the plug great, if not hard wire it.

Never used a solder before an don't have one. I may have to look into the hard wire route. Would this require me to take a part the ECM to hard wire? Electrical is not my field sorry if I sound like a noob haha.
Also what kinda wire am I looking at here to run from the existing plug?
Is it bad juju to just cut out the damaged section and rewire that part?
