Looking into picking up an 03 XB9R...

Hey guys, first time poster, long time lurker. I finally got the opportunity to pick up an XB9R. I found an 03 XB9R with about 12k miles. The current owner told me that it was dropped by the owner before him. It has a dent on the gas tank frame where a puck should be. The dent isn't too bad, not like most that I've seen around the internet. It's a lot more shallow than most. It also had scrapes on the exhaust headers and timing cover as well as the lower chin fairing. He's asking around $2.5k but spoke him down to several hundred dollars. I haven't had much luck finding any Firebolts for under $3.5k in Southern California. Do you guys think this would be worth picking up? Or is the damage enough to be a turn off? Any input would be greatly appreciated.
