Cooter makes a handy XB rear stand mount

I'm not the first one to do this, but I had a couple neat ideas that make it V2.0. I've seen 1/2" all thread and stuff used this way but thought is was a little to hokey to trust the whole bike on. If you want to watch Ol' Cooter play with his hard rod, keep reading!

Found some stainless solid rod in the scrap bin. It doesn't need to be solid, or stainless, whatever fits through the axle will be ok.

    Drilled (action shot woo!)

Tapped to 1/4-20 (also not specifically important). You just want to be able to remove one (or both) ends.

Using an license plate bolt for the big smooth head and a fender washer

Welded a washer on the other side. You could just drill tap here too instead.

Part of the magic is the 1/2', thick, rubber heater hose

    Rubber slipped on each end

Because it stops the stand thing from banging against the swingarm and spaces it equally side to side

And you're thinking. "Hey man, I need a beer." no, wait thats not it... You're thinking "Hey man, it's a little wide."
17.5" actually just wait for it...

Works really well and keeps the metal stand away from the swingarm.
    BUT....

Taa Daa! It fits the wide jack stand tops too!

    Extra bonus awesome points...
You can actually put the stand under the right side and pivot (lifting) the bike up by the passenger foot peg bracket and place the other stand on the left pretty easily without needing an actual bike stand, jack, or ladder

DOUBLE extra super awesome bonus points!
If you are lucky and smart enough to own an EBR 1190 with its ridiculously wide rear spools (16" wide BTW)... Your stand now fits BOTH the XB's and the 1190 without even adjusting it!

Now you can go get that beer. Because you're thirsty, smart, and gosh darn it you're pretty good looking too

Hey cooter I seen the twisted license plate bracket on the sx. What do you think about it? Is it bright enough for all the drunks to see? That was my concern with it, the small light strip all low under the tail.
