2003 Buell xb9r running rough.

Recently i have noticed on start up when i press the start switch the dash will die and the starter will click and then start. The dash lights back up and the clock always resets to 1:00. Then it idles super bad for a little while and gets better as it warms up but if you park it and go to start it later it does the same thing. put in new plugs and had the battery tested and it was good.

thats kinda what i was guessing but i took the air filter off and it seems to fix the idle issue. could it be a combination of both maybe?

I've noticed mine is extremely voltage sensitive. I would agree with bad battery. It might appear to be good, but if the volts drop even a little bit it might not be enough to crank it over.
