    Clutch problems

Need some help? I have a 05 buell xb12 scg. I dropped it and The shifter broke off the primary cover. I replaced everything but know the clutch wont disengage. I adjusted the clutch according to manual and the clutch tensioner according to manual. Clutch is really draggy and just doesn't work when lever is pulled but everything seems to be functioning. Don't want to taKe primary off again. Any suggestions?

Sounds like the ramp broke inside the primary. Since you say it's adjusted right, theres no magic fix where you aren't taking the cover back off..

Take the cover back off and look at the clutch ramp.

Thanks for quick response. Love this sight. It's a brand new primary cover you think it would break on install?

The clutch looks to be ramping with inspection cover off

Clutch cable is pretty dinged up but everything still operates smoothly. Not sure if this would affect it?

Is there any little tricks not noted in manual when replacing the primary cover?

    Nope, no tricks.
I'll still assume it's adjusted properly. Post pics once you spend the 10 mins to get it off.

So didn't have to take primary off again turns out clutch was fine. After installing new primary cover the clutch had a lot more drag than before when disengadged. But everything works fine. Now on to installing Renthal medium street bars. So there a little to long will have to be cut down 3/4" and drill holes for throttke and my light switch housings. Ya this looks worse than primary cover
