So I've got my buell for over 4 months now, what happend in this period:

    replaced in my guarantee period:

primairy chain cover gasket failed, been replaced
motor wouldn't start: fuelpump failere, feulpomp replaced

after that the 3 months guarantee period was over..

    frontforkseals leakage, replaced the seals.
monoshock failure, replaced it with an second hand one
primairy chain cover gasket failure, (second time), made my own gasket now.

    problems i've got now:

    cockpit lights don't work
turning signals won't work every time.

for the rest , every time i ride it, after ten seconds an big smile underneath the helmet

Wow! Tubers are typically VERY dependable with only minor maintenance. Someone didn't love that poor bike before you got it. Glad your taking care of it now. Any pics? What year is it?

Reliable or not, life ain't easy when you're a 17-18 year old paint shaker.

It may be time to give the old girl some good loving and TLC.

Yes, the only thing that gets better with age is wine and whiskey and that's assuming your not shaking the **** out of them!

TLC??... She is getting it, because when i replaced the primairy cover gasket, i also replaced the primairy chain tensioner, and adjusted the chain tension to the right dimensions. before i changed it it was 15 mm, and now according the book, i've set it on 10 mm.

( i.m from europe so my settings are in mm.)

and a good Rum needs also age..
