Does anyone know if performing this airbox delete will cause me to fail emissions test for Texas? I just moved here and havnt had my inspection yet and it would be good to know ahead of time. Thanks

Shouldn't do as long as you dont do the breather hose re-route till after your emissions test

Hey no problem. The Air Box Delete just increases airflow, it shouldnt affect the emissions. The breather hose re-route is actually taking un burned fumes and re-cycling them back through the engine. If any mod will cause you to fail your emissions...then the hose re route will probably do it.

How often do you have to get tested anyways? Is it a one time thing, or something done yearly?

From what I have been told you have to get it done every year, so if I end up doing the re-route I will more than likely have to change it back before I get it tested, but it's only once a year so the extra hassle will still be worth it.

Ok, so I found out today when I went in for my inspection that they dont even do emissions tests. It was only an inspection to see that everything on the bike/vehicle is running correctly. So as soon as I get a free weekend, I will definatly be doing the airbox delete w/ hose re-route. Thank god for no emissions tests!
