Thread: Burnt out stator and testing regulator

    Just to bring this to a close.
    I purchased a 5 wire 45 Amp generic regulator from a motorcycle auto electrician, had the
    stator rewound again, fitted it all and been riding now for a week with no issues. At rest the
    battery sits at about 12,4V and charges at 14,2V. Right now I'm calling the problem solved.
    Thanks again for the invaluable resources on this forum.
