Ummmmm yeah got another Buell today.. and it doesn’t work!!!!!! For 8 years!!!! Yayyyy lol. I picked this rig up off a co worker cleaning out a old friend that passed garage. To bad the circumstances...
The bikes air box was off, left foot control rear set. And battery way smoked... I hooked up one of batteries from another bike I know is good, no juice to the cluster.. soooo the angry pixies are getting caught up somewhere in the cobweb of wiring. I will look into further. My plans for the bike will come as I see what it needs.
But yeah that’s where I am at on this one, let me know what you guys think.

Yeah probably model year 06 the tag says 05. Might be a 05. No title. Got it for 300 shekels.

And 100 bucks for the grips if I part out.
Ok update the 15A “key switch” fuse blows the second I turn the key... so broken wire I am guessing. I think I might start around the head tube area first. I imagine that’s where a lot of movement is going down so it might break there.
When I hook the battery up the tack and speedo will sweep once. But once I turn the key it blows.

This might turn into a super Moto Buell
before you tear into the wiring loom at the steering neck area check the below all of which can pop the key switch fuse:
1- faulty key switch relay. replace same.
2-positive horn wire feed shorted to horn bracket. check same
3-shorted ignition switch but EXTREMELY rare
4-shorted/faulty "red-run" switch. easy check is: ignition key to off.....switch to off.....ignition key to on....now switch to on. fuse now pops? faulty red-run switch.
5-remove flyscreen/windshield and check main wiring bundle PLUS positive leads to both front signals for short to ground.
