Cooter puts spools on an XB

STT actually. I don't know if this is exactly the same for the shorter swing arm, but it would be easy enough to find out, and I will when I attack The XB9-SX next!
For $5 you really can't go wrong. I looked for a set that had a flange at the base for stability against a swingarm without a thick tab. And an 8mm bolt. I'm sure 6mm would be fine but bigger is better right? 8mm will also fit a 5/16" bolt perfectly. Murica'

Take your wheel off lazy guy. It will make your life so much easier.

I wanted to make sure they were equal, and it turns out it was really easy.

You don't want to drill into any of the supporting webbing back here, and you DO want a washer to sandwich the flange on the spool, this way the the load is spread against the aluminum swing arm. Maybe a little overkill, but why not?
These spots look good so drop in a washer and you'll know exactly where to drill the hole.

Mark and measure to be sure they are equal side to side (they are, you're welcome)

Drilly drill drill. Don't be skeered!

I drilled them small and tapped the hole to use the nylock nut on the inside like a lock nut. Totally unnecessary IMO but I did it anyway.

Hold it tight and tighten the locknut:

BOOM sucka! WAY more solid than the flat rubber on a greasy swingarm bottom.

They also happen to be exactly the same width at the really wide EBR 1190 stock spools as well.
