Ok so it's been awhile but work and life has kept me from working on the girl till today. Got the fuel pump out and the wires where rubbing on and grounding out. Question is what's the best way to fix the cut in the insulation. I know any kind of tape wire fade away in the fuel. Should I cut and re solder with shrink tube to fix it. Any suggestions would help. Thanks

y/r chafed and rubbed thru shorting out? pops fuel pump fuse
gray """"""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""? pump continually primes and runs
there's your trouble-shooting guide. see pics!
simply repair as you would any other automotive/cycle wire application. if using shrink-tubing it must be fuel resistant such as RayChem DR-25. Lowe's also stocks fuel resistant shrink-tubing.
report back in another 2 months and let us know how this worked out.
