The paint code is elusive and a 2 part process (as I have been told).
I have been working with a powder coater (who did my sportster parts) to find the closest match. We still have not gotten it right after 3 tries.
As winter approaches I’m starting to spin up the projects. I have a silver S3 with the amazing blue frame. Unfortunately the cast rims are silver/natural aluminum. I want to paint or powder coat the rims to match the frame.
First, I’d like to ask what is better? Yes cost, durable and fixing are all good arguments.
Second, does anyone know the paint code I could give the body shop?
Now if anyone had PM rims or blue rims that they want to trade for natural?

Yikes! Maybe an XB rim conversation would be easier? (J/K)
This thread talks about the nuclear blue, is that what you are referring to. I havent heard of amazing blue.

I would think a painter could match it.
The powder might be tough but im sure it can be done. Id guess a silver or chrome base with some kind of translucent blue over it.

That Intense-Blue looks good... too bad I don't have a sample right in front of me... I will talk to my "guy" who I have no actual affiliation with :-(
you have to be careful with the color sample because it depends on the base coat with those transparent ones. i think their samples would just be intense blue on raw metal which might be fine but without a base coat it will look different depending on what kind of metal it is on and how the metal was prepared
