Buell XB12S 2008 fuel map / ecmspy map

    Hello

I'm new owner of Buell after few Harley's. I like the bike, but i feel that map of ecm is bad. Or something is. I'm professional mechanic on myself and rode many different bikes.

I went trough my map on EcmSpy and there is few spot i noticed and start wonder if whole eeprom data is somehow wrong.

Bike is 2008 only rode 10000 km. Exhaust is changes to Sebring which is similar to Remus. (dual end) and filter is K&N, other mods i didn't found.

Exhaust valve was still active even exhaust has changed. Which made me think eeprom data / map haven't be done or atleast not well.

Then i noticed baro sensor was activated over map sensor, is that right?

But overall i would like to get map from someone who has well running bike (or map from buelltooth or somewhere as basic race map) to compare maps together and see why my bike runs not so good. ECM is BUEWD firmware so best would be to get same firmware version to go try it on my bike.

Anyone could help me and send me map to me? To get going on troubleshooting to get bike running smooth.

    Regards

    Like you said, try buelltooth.
If you can’t find help there go to www.buellmods.com and I believe you should be able to find a basic race map.

Since you are a professional mechanic, you already know you should fix the bike before you start to modify the bike by messing with the ECM. If you compensate with the fueling program you will be masking an existing issue.

Perhaps clarify why you "feel that map of ecm is bad" and we can help properly diagnose it with you? There are several easy checks to make before even reaching for the laptop. i.e. Intake seal leaks are pretty common and easily checked.

Since you opened ECMSpy, what was the AFV? It's a clue if the ECM is trying to compensate for an engine issue. Be aware, if you go to Buelltooth.com for a map, it is written in a format to be installed with ECMDroid.

Of course fixing is main thing to do. I am just curious to see map with basic corrections because example exhaust valve was still enabled and it gives couple time engine light when was driving and left Dtc on.

When I drive and go throttle bike start hesitate. Feeling like "hitting wall", if i would be driving my -60 harley I would check spark plugs, ignition timing and points. and when I release throttle bike feels like accelerate for moment. So I think somehow air / fuel ration is not correct, ignition timing is messed, spark plugs are "half-gone" or there is intake leak like you said or fuel flow is not okay.

AFV was 100% on front but on rear it was at 126% which is showing that there might be intake leak or maybe stuck in injector.
