    Thinking of selling my 2009 XB12SS (Black) - $3,500

I have owned a '09 XB12SS since new. Recently, the poor bike gets ridden about once every 2 months, if I'm lucky.

The bike has ~24K miles and a few standard mods:
    • breather reroute (since new, no oily intake here)
    • right side scoop
    • led tail lights
    • -7 degree lowered handlebars
    • HID headlights
    • black anodized axle sliders F/R
    • chopped tail license plate thing (still have stock piece)

Currently, it needs a oil change (25K service), rear tire (I have one ready for it (190 width power pilot 2ct)), and a fork rebuild (seal is leaking from not riding )

I have every stock part I took off of the bike, like the rear fender and stock mirrors and turn signals. If there is some interest, I have no idea the value of a single owner bike. Buells are a niche market, and i am reluctant to post to craigslist. I have no idea if my post history on the forum is still available, but some of my mods were detailed in my posts.

DM me for more info. Pictures will follow in the next day or two.

I have no idea how much, honestly. I am in California - SF Bay Area, and the bike has been garaged since new.

Single owner, ~25K miles, all service intervals done, crashed once, insurance replaced everything with factory new parts, all documentation. I have a new rear tire for it if I don't put it on when I get the oil changed and forks rebuilt. (dry seals)

If you are asking me, I would pay between $2500 to $3500 tops. nice bike. If I was selling I would be asking $4K.

Is the title clean or "salvage"?

Title is NOT a salvage, insurance was able to repair the damages by replacing the components. Title is clean. CARFAX might have the hit though.

What was really damaged was the handle bars, mirrors, and a few scrapes on the swingarm. If yoyu look in my post history, the insurance paid for all new parts, and I ended up selling my old swingarm here for less than the shipping cost Anyway, my crash was ~30-35mph and I took all of the damage, the bike was basically "dropped" from a damage stand point.

I don't mean to imply it's unsafe or otherwise, a salvage title would hurt re-sale. I'm just getting a feeling for what it's worth. As long as the tank/frame (with the Vin#) isn't dented, no worries for me.
For instance, I consider 25k fair mileage for an almost decade old bike (2500/year isn't much), but there are many others available with much less, and most people consider that more valuable.

    Considering the good:
    '09 is the Thunderstorm engine
Ss is nice if you're a bigger rider
99% stock like yours means I don't have to un-do a Youtubers trial and error 'mods'
The extra tire (as long as it hasn't been sitting in the garage for years)

    The Bad:
Needs repair. A fork seal job ($400-600) is daunting for most people.
Gotta swap on a new rear tire.
    Been down.
Niche bike. Dude, can you still get parts?
Time of year. You think about riding when it's cold and foggy in the SF bay?

I'd throw it on CL for $3000-3500 and be willing to take $2000 after it sits there for a month. Actually, I'd keep it and make time to ride it more, they're awesome!

    In My Opinion...

"SS is nice, if you're a bigger rider" I'm offended !
