Hi everyone,
I'm a new owner of a 2010 Ulysses XB12XT, and I joined your folks forum as here is a lot of info I will need in my futire projects.
I picked it up last month, and there are some things that need to be fixed.
One of the lights has got a crack on the outer plastic cover, and I was wondering, is it better to pick a new stock light or it's a good idea to experiment with the aftermarket LEDs (I mean sealed headlight assemblies)?
I like the way Daymakers look, but I just want to nbe sure they will look right and will not hyerflash or something.
CAn someone tell me if it is possible to install LED headlights that will work right in the 2010 XB12XT?
Thanks,
Tom.

I thought of getting sealed beam lights, something like Daymakers (but damn, they are sooo expensive, I was wondering if they are worth the money?).
Or, alternatively, I saw those daymaker-style LED lights (here's the link and I am attaching a picture as well).

I didn't have a chance to try them out by myself (well, neither these nor anything similar within $200-$300 price range), that's why decided to ask here.
I just do not want to buy them and discover that light quality is poor, or that they flicker, or that they throw errors.... By the way, does the 2010 Ulysses have a can-bus module or something?

nope
Welcome to the forum! Looks like a really nice Uly
Cheaper headlights can be hit or miss, but folks here have posted good results using LED's in the stock housing. Personally I use a cheap version of the daymaker on my STT. It is VERY pin point light but plenty bright and far enough for the higher speeds I ride. I think most LEDs are like that IMO.
Thanks for the replies! I believe I will try out these cheaper daymakers then. If they will not work like I expect them to, I can always return them or sell on e-bay I guess.
It's always better to try imo
Cheers!
