Just say no to stock exhaust. Real men invest in John's 1%er hellfire pipes.
John, hats off on a great write-up. Real good info for people who have stock exhaust.

Fu@kn BROBOBBER! LMFAO. Reminds me of when John called Cody's new bike a BROGLIDE
Lunaticfringe: I finally got time to get my fairing off and what ya know, my ECM does not have the terminal in the middle for the wire to control the muffler actuator.. So im thinking either
the ECM was replaced with a ECM from where I have no idea, or previous owners replaced the ECM for a race ECM only thing on ECM are numbers only, do these numbers look familiar ?.. I posted a pic if it post and works if not I can PM it to you for you to see ... thx for all the help in advance ..

mark: i'll defer to the onboard ecm gurus.....but....Y0152.1AM 07176 as per factory parts listing is for 2008 XB models. it does NOT have the spade connector for the IEV/ACM(interactive exhaust valve/active muffler control). qualifier: i have little to no ecm knowledge but my suspicion is that without that spade it is not capable of working your airbox lid mounted actuator assembly.
You are exactly right Lunatic, The big spade in-between the black and grey harness connectors on the ECM is the output for the IEV. Whether or not it's stamped "Race Use Only" doesn't matter.
Does your Firebolt have a loose white wire right there with a single connector?
