All I gotta say is quit fueling around, and Go riding.
Both true statements
34:19 has it pegged. "More" is just "more". Including more stuff to fail, and thats my point. Do you want a dash that looks like K.I.T.T. car? I don't. Some do.
I hear ya Outlaw... but, could you live without a tach without hearing it? You don't look at the tach (neither do I) because you hear the engine and know what 'outside the norm' is so you glance at it when pushing the limits. Speedometer too. The sensation of speed is still a speedometer. I just rode a Zero and it messed me up big time!
If I could only choose 3 gauges, I'd pick oil, temp, volts. No tach or speedo. All things that will kill an engine or a trip. Sure, I'll concede that fuel pressure could be included in that, but it's way, way, down the list, hence my snark. Maybe more in the way this thread was presented? 'Have any of you idiots done this very, very, simple thing?' is how I took it.
MrTT: Sorry for the snark. If the part was already out, tapping that hole was a good idea. Doing that and adding one of these as an access point, is what Mr. Eric Buell should have done.

Can't we all just get along?
MrTt- are you doing this to monitor fuel pressure while you ride?
Or
Is it to make an easy (or easier) way to hook up a fuel pressure gauge for diagnosis?
I don’t think anyone has really come up with a good “non factory” way to measure fuel pressure, so you may be onto something.... especially if it will allow one to hook up a generic fuel pressure gauge to help diagnose fueling.
This is for both purposes.
Dyno Tune produces the fuel pressure gauge I'm going to install. It has very compact screen so you can find a little spot for it.

2010 Buell XB has fuel pressure sensor mounted there.

All the 1125's and 1190's do too and use the same DDFI-3 ECM as the '08-up XB's to monitor it
OK, I have installed the fuel pressure gauge and everything works fine.
I used this particular gauge

You also need Tesa 51036 automotive wires harness tape https://www.amazon.com/Tesas-Advance...rds=tesa+51036
Plug for motorcycle battery receptacle https://www.amazon.com/Schumacher-WM...tery+connector
1/4" diameter heat resistant Convoshield Wire Loom https://www.amazon.com/Bentley-Harri...it%2Bloom&th=1
Here is installation process:
Remove intake manifold from motorcycle and mask all openings
Drill through hole in the top face of the front injector cavity. Drill size is Q for 1/8-27 NPT thread.
Tap the hole to 1/8-27 NPT. Be careful not to tap too deep. Completely tightened pressure sensor should have a couple threads above the hole. Test fitment each 1-2 turns of the tap.
Clean internal channels of the fuel rail thoroughly.
Wrap the sensor cord with Tesa automotive tape
Attach 1/4" diameter heat resistant Convoshield wire loom on the sensor cable
Wrap the pressure sensor threats with a couple layers of Teflon tape
Attach the pressure sensor to the fuel ramp and tighten it snug
Assemble the intake manifold
Install the intake manifold on the engine.
Connect all wires in the engine compartment and fuel pump but do not attach airbox baseplate. Turn ignition switch of the motorcycle on and off a few times to build pressure in fuel line and check there is no fuel leakage.
Route the sensor wire above the rear cylinder and under the frame
Solder wires of the plug from the fuel pressure sensor kit and power plug to the display cable according the kit instructions
Route the gauge display cable and attach the display to you favorite place
Enjoy your fuel pressure gauge!
And it looks like I found the issue already. The fuel pressure on my motorcycle is only 40 PSI, which is lower then it supposed to be. It looks like I found the reason of AFV is too high (120%) and motor heats up too fast. So it's tome to fix the fuel pump.

tons of ridiculous festoonery hanging off that poor bike and your gas cap is still on BACKWARDS. typical of you TEABAG.
you are BANNED..........again. you've now attempted to join this site under 6 different names. you truly are mentally unstable.
and how do i know this is you? here's the same bike from your TPEHAK file dated 5-17-2018.

OMG!! This guy just doesn't stop!!! TEABAG please just go away, go to another site or something!! Went through all that crap just to find out your pump was bad? You have got to be kidding me. A simple pressure gauge would of told you that.
