Haven't tried the Diablo's but I love the Conti Sport attacks.
So I only got to ride the Buell a couple of times last years.
As such the battery died. I am seeing if I can snag one from the Part out thread. But if not, I was wondering if anyone has a recommendation for a new one.
I will do an oil change since it's been more than a year. Spark Plugs only have a 100 or so miles on them.
I have never liked the Michelin Pilot Road 2's that have been on Jack since I bought him back, so I am going to replace them this year with Pirelli Diablo Rosso III's I had Rosso II's on a different bike and loved them. The Road 2's are designed more for sport touring and just don't give me the same confidence that I had with the Rosso II's when I am carving the back roads. Previous to that, I used to always run Metzler track throw aways. Once that happens, I will put the Michelin Pilot Road 2's up for sale.
I guess I should do a Brake Fluid flush as well and then I will get it inspected to have a second set of eyes look over everything.
I am looking forward to some nice rides in 2019

I am going to be putting the car equivalent of those on my 4C. Great reviews for and I just checked out the reviews on the Sport Attacks.
I've always like the Conti's DW tires on my cars. I think I may give these a shot. They are significantly cheaper than the Pirelli's. I like how all the reviews say how quick they come up to temperature.

Pilot Road 2's?? I just got Pilot Road 5's for the STT! How old are they?! The date code is on the sidewall (number of week/YY).
FYI I absolutely LOVE the PR5's. They are super sticky to the sidewall but have shown almost no wear on the middle for the first 2500 miles so far. I'd recommend them for commuting and high grip aggressive riding confidence as well.
I run Q3+'s on the SX and will get 3500 miles of superglue wear on those. Recommend them if you do track days, but not good for commuting.
23rd and 42nd week of 2012, so they will both hit 7 years this year.
Some tires can go up to 10 years on low mileage, but normally 5 is the recommended time to swap them out. This is the first tire I've never burned out in 2 years or less.
Revzilla still sells them but I probably will just let the shop dispose of them when I get the new ones.

Just ordered my replacement battery.
From one of the older threads I saw some nice reviews of batterymart.com and the ETX14 Battery and pulled the trigger.
I changed the oil in the engine on Monday as it was unseasonably warm.

Wow
My replacement battery arrived today. 2 days after I ordered. it. Batterymart.com kicks ass.
Installed it and cranked it over. I then let it run for a while to avoid the spark plugs from fouling.
I am totally jonesing to go for a ride, but we are going to have some more cold weather for a couple of months.
So I am thinking I should replace the bearings when I get new tires.
Lunatic do you still keep those in stock?
