09 xb12 SS. Wont start

Borrowed a working cps sensor and no change I all so tested the wires to it they work. So back to square one again ������

No I don’t have spark when using the starter button all the time. I’ll try the TPS manually thank you. Uuu I hope not

She is now running again. Hade a freind over that all so have a buell and we started switching some parts til a put on his spark plug wires then she fired up and ran as normal. So 1 of the new wires was faulty. Thank you guys for your efforts and help it’s awesome here

Did you end up checking the plug wire in question with an ohm meter, if so, what did it show ?

No not the (bad)New ones but i Can if you want to know. But changed the coil with my new wires no change the I put his wires and it fired up and ran

Glad you got lucky Kevin. These bikes start and run on one cylinder. You inadvertently solved another issue, so keep your eye out!
Since it seems like a secondary ignition problem. It would be a good idea to run an auxiliary ground to the coil mount from the battery. Easy and cheap, (Lunaticfringe mod #1)

I'm looking at this thread and if i'm not mistaken....and i never am....it reads like this:
the bike will start and run and then it will not start and run.
if you "leave it alone" it will sometimes start again.
you replaced many parts including the spark plugs and plug wires.
you checked all your wiring.
you checked your new spark plug wires and they were fine.
sometimes you have ignition spark and sometimes you do not have ignition spark.
you checked the coil and it was firing the spark plugs just fine.
you and a friend swapped parts around and now it runs fine.

I've actually heard of a similar event transpiring before. it was season 2/episode 5......
