    Buell Newbie...just bought an 08 xb9sx

Glad I found this forum! Made my decision to buy the Buell easy. I picked up a one owner XB9SX with 11K miles. It had been wrecked, but repaired correctly, so I felt pretty confident in the bargain I got. After I rode it, I was sold! What a blast! I've owned an Excelsior Henderson for years and love ridding it. My 16 year old wanted a sport bike and we researched tons of Japanese and Euro rides, but a USA made bike tilted the scales. When I found the XB he fell in love. I can't wait to cruise some windies with him!

Every bike has it's own design idiosyncrasies. What do I need to pay attention for, or address, before it becomes an issue? Thanks in advance!

All grounds, take them off and clean them, no matter what they look like and this includes the battery terminals. Make sure to reinstall them with a anti-corrossive lube of some type, make sure to use plus or premium gas, check the motor mounts, especially the front one. Other than that, flog her !

Post a pic of your Excelsior Henderson. I'd love to see it.
