You have a bridgeport.......lucky bastard. I used to have access to mills and lathes etc that I could use at my leisure, but a change of job meant no more access. I wish to get me a Mill at home and/or a small hobby lathe. The ability to manufacture those small parts on wet weekend are a bit of fun for me.

I’m actually a toolmaker by trade so I have access to several lathes and mills. I probably log 6 hours every single day on these machines. Having after hours access to them is definitely a blessing.

Not gonna get too deep into this. I will say that there was an error made at the beginning of this build that wasn’t caught. It caused my rear intake valve to make out with the piston on 2 different occasions. Fortunately the problem has been found and is being resolved. **** happens. I ain’t mad at nobody. Be back in business in no time

And apparently since this happened again my ol lady decided I should get a 2nd bike so i always have one to ride. Looking hard at a 2005 xb12s on Sunday. Everyone needs a 2nd bike!

So what was the problem? Pushrod too long? Cam timing off?

Having two bikes doesn’t resolve that by the way. It just means you have 2 project bikes instead of 1.

D-oh! I’ve heard of people doing that but it only causing a small issue. Are you running different cams than stock?
