    2003 XB9S Lightning in Los Angeles - $2750

Three owner 2003 XB9S. Adult owned and ridden very few miles per year over my 11 years of ownership. This bike has been an ongoing project with lots of tasteful little upgrades, including a radial front master cylinder for better brake modulation, EBR front brake disc, aftermarket mirrors, Pro Taper handlebar and aftermarket adjustable pegs for a more aggressive riding position (very useful at the track and around town), custom header wraps for leg heat management, custom tail chop, Select seat, and more. Headlamp has been wired to a high standard with a WeatherPak connector (and high-grade automotive wire) for easy disconnection on track days. It's riding on Bridgestone Battlax BT016's with lots of life left.

The last few years I've used it for some light duty track days and canyon rides, but I mostly ride my other bike these days. Every time I get on this thing I still feel like a bit of a hooligan. It just makes me smile. Unfortunately, it's time for me to pass it on.

The only time I've put the bike down was a 10mph right turn into a dusty alleyway (sucked) the first month I owned it in '08, before I had the pucks on it. That's completely covered by the right puck, and I replaced the handlebar.

The top end was professionally rebuilt just recently by the H-D specialist at Moto Classic Garage in LA after the rocker seals were leaking. There are seriously about 20 miles on the rebuild.

As far as extras, I've got a cable and installation disc for ECM Spy. I've also still got the original mirrors and passenger footpeg carriers. There are some spare parts like a new rear axle, spark plugs, oil drain plug crush washers, etc. I've also got the factory service manual and parts diagram book.

The story of the salvage title is that the original owner commuted on the bike and rode it to ~35,000 miles before having a minor off where he dented the cast frame. He took the insurance...thanks &%#@. It's minor indentation and some scraping at the proud point on the left of the frame. I "marked" the right side, as mentioned above. Then I realized about the pucks.

    Price: $2750 obo

Note that since they were taken, I've updated the turn signals to the smaller LED's shown in two of the photos.

New here and sorry for resurrecting an old thread if it's dead but I'm not allowed to message. If you're still selling the bike, I'm in LA and interested! Please lmk rob at castromotorsport dot com
