Are these just for appearances, or will they offer some protection? Never needed mine but I have read the pucks basically help for tip overs...
Either way, Nice job on tackling this project.

They do a pretty good job of spreading the load and avoiding a frame dent for a minor crash. Buell frame dent = salvage

Hi All. I am so proud to let you all know we DID IT. You can see our listing for the Pucks on eBay. https://www.ebay.com/itm/Buell-XB-No...X/383531519344

We ended up going with a different method of making them because in the end we decided a harder, tougher polymer was better than the soft rubber ones. Our stock will be low on ebay until the end of the month because we are fulfilling commitments we made. We will be cranking up our output 3 week of this month.IMG_9185.jpghttps://www.ebay.com/itm/Buell-XB-No...X/383531519344IMG_9185.jpgIMG_9182.jpgFront Total Deviation From Factory Puck.jpg

Nicely done Doug!!! Thanks for helping the Buell community to get a long-lost part back into production.

At first I was wondering why you went with the rougher surface, but I see that your model can be spray painted over if minor scratches. What kind of speckled paint are you recommending?

We are using (2) coatings on them. First is a flexible rubber coating which is then over-coated polyurethane for UV protection. I have been testing for months with crush testing (testing one material vs another) and outside exposure. The final test is when I mounted them on my 2005 XB9 which is pictured here. IMG_9168.jpg

We have been asked about this but I believe there is still factory ones available. If you all feel there is a need for them we will produce them for you.
