    I don't know anyone who would say these are 'bad' motorcycles, including me (Heck, that guy ^^^ ones one). They are amazing. I feel they are needlessly complicated and expensive, but amazing.

    My last BMW ownership experience worked out pretty well. 2016 R1200RS with every option you could get, fancy electronic suspension, up & down quick shifter, gps... blah, blah... anyway, bought used with 280 miles in 2017 off a guy with a whole garage full of toys for $14,500. Put 20,000 miles on it and went through two sets of tires, never had any issues at all with it. Did all my own maintenance and sold it for exactly what I bought it for two years later... will do again eventually.
