    XB12 muffler on an XB9

What will happen to an XB9 if I place an XB12 muffler on it w/ the exhaust valve in the pipe in the closed position?

You get 33% less power, and the world comes to a screeching halt.

    Oh wait, that already happened.

Why would you want to do that ? At the very least you should use something to keep the valve opened.

Back story: I bought a xb9r that had a Latus muffler and I wanted to put it on my XB12S.

I now want to sell my XB9R so I swapped the XB12 muffler onto it.

njloco -- what's the best way in your mind to keep the valve opened?

Bailing wire: Also known as Buell specialty tool part #BW001. I have OEM Buell bailing wire and some aftermarket junk too. I find the factory Buell bailing wire is the way to go
