Nah, neither my speedo or my odometer work at all... been that way for about 3500 miles now.. and i only know that because i got a gps right around the time it stopped working so i've been using that as both.. I haven't taken it off and cleaned it yet which I will try and depending on the price would be willing to just replace it. I could be a short in the wiring I guess but nothing visible that I can see..
ECMspy will not tell you if your vehicle speed sensor is bad. At least from what I can tell. Your odometer is connected to a different sensor than the VSS.
Really??? Huh.. well then, if BOTH my speedo and my odo went out at the same time BUT the odo isnt connected with the VSS, then the VSS is not necessarily my problem.. huh. it must be a shorted wire then??Your odometer is connected to a different sensor than the VSS.
Sorry, my bad....They are the same sensor.
oh okay.. thanks for confirming.. i hadn't had the time to look it up.. i'm pretty sure it's my sensor that's shot... i need to just spend the 50 bucks and get it over with..
Thats funny, 2003buellxb9s, My speedo and odo have been going on and off lately... I guess an early warning of whats coming soon.
